Retinol is well known for its topical application to prevent skin aging: studies have shown that retinol is responsible for cell proliferation and therefore skin renewal.

In fact, by stimulating cell growth and differentiation, retinol induces epidermal thickening and a decrease in TEWL (transepidermal water loss - indicates the continuous evaporation of water through the outermost layers of the epidermis), promoting skin hydration.

Additionally, topical applications of retinol have been studied to significantly reduce wrinkles.

What do the studies show?

Studies have shown that the 0.3% retinol formula represents a new advancement in skin rejuvenation, offering optimal retinoid efficacy with minimal irritation in subjects with skin affected by signs of aging: improved evenness of skin tone, hydration and skin elasticity.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) in various chemical derivatives and molecular weights is a well-known anti-aging ingredient. It is synthesized in the skin, providing support to the dermal layer and a barrier against TEWL.

HA is used in cosmetic formulations in concentrations ranging from 0.2 to 1%.
